Student Insurance Refund Procedure for Graduate Student Employees of the System

If you are employed by the TAMU System, and your insurance benefits through HR and your Department became effective December 1, and you have been insured for the Semester under any of the TAMU Student Insurance plan options, you may wish to claim a refund of the Insurance premiums you have paid for the Semester (because you have duplicate coverage). Please follow these procedures:

1. Please send AIP a copy of the letter from your Department which shows that you have coverage as a benefit of your employment with the TAMU System and the effective date of these benefits and request a refund of the remaining portion of premiums you have paid under the Student insurance plan.
2. Email the information above to office@aipstudentinsurance.com or fax to 847-281-8813, and provide the address you wish your refund to be mailed to.
3. AIPI will verify that your name appears on the list from your Department.
4. Your refund will be mailed to you within 10 business days.
