To view a summary of the below plans offered to The Texas A&M University System Students, please select your campus and the applicable plan name above. These insurance plans endorsed by the Texas A&M University System improved coverage and comply with PPACA student insurance requirements.

The A&M Student Insurance Plan

Available to ALL students of The Texas A&M University System and their Dependents. Plan provides benefits up to $100,000 per condition.

The A&M International Student Insurance Plan

Available to ONLY the International Students of The Texas A&M University System and their Dependents. Plan provides coverage up to $100,000 per condition.

The A&M Graduate Student EMPLOYEE Insurance Plan

Available to Graduate Students employed by The Texas A&M University System and their Dependents. Plan provides coverage up to $500,000 per policy year.
You must select to participate through human resources at TAMU.

Stand Alone Student Repatriation and Medical Evacuation Plan

Available to ONLY the International Students of The Texas A&M University System and their Dependents not enrolled in one of the above plans.

Student Accident and Intramural Sports Insurance Plan

Available to ALL students of The Texas A&M University System. Plan provides limited but affordable benefits for Accident Only coverage.

Preventive Services Covered Under the Affordable Care Act

PPO Network

This plan uses two Preferred Provider Networks, the PHCS and Multiplan, Preferred Provider Networks. You will receive a higher reimbursement when you use a network provider. It is to your benefit to verify with your providers that they are contracted with PHCS or Multiplan Preferred Provider Networks at the time of your appointment. Although healthcare services may be or have been provided to you at a healthcare facility that is a member of the provider network used by your health benefits plan, other professional services may be or have been provided at or through the facility by physicians and other healthcare practitioners who are not members of that network. You may be responsible for payment of all or part of the fees for those professional services that are not paid or covered by your health benefits plan.

Your Pharmacy Benefits

Walgreens is once again a provider with the Medco Pharmacy Network for TAMU plan enrollees. In order to use your student insurance plan's pharmacy benefits you must use a participating pharmacy. Please find a participating pharmacy at www.medcohealth.com.

24-Hour On Call Nurse Advice Line

Students may utilize the Nurse Advice Line anytime they need confidential medical advice. ON CALL provides clinical assessment, education and general health information. This service shall be performed by a registered Nurse Counselor to assist in identifying the appropriate level and source(s) of care (based on symptoms reported and/or health care questions asked). Nurses shall not diagnose ailments. This program gives access to the nurse information line 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. One phone call is all it takes to access a wealth of useful health care information at 1-800-850-4556 or collect outside the U.S. and Canada, 603-328-1713.
